So sorry about the loss of your wife and mother, Phyllis. Brought back memories, especially at this time of year, of all the beautiful decorating you did at the Salem United Methodist Church all those Christmases and also the work on Christmas plays, etc. Also, the catering of our wedding 33 years ago. Those were the good days, huh! You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

My Deepest Sympathy Roland,Julie,Doug, Phil and your families. I remember how nice your mother was to me and how your parents hired me to work at the restaurant when I was in High School. You will miss her greatly and not a day will go by that you don't think 0f her. Having lost my Dad a year and half ago I still miss him daily,

Dear Rollie, Julie, Doug and Phillip
I am so sorry for your loss. The news of Phyllis' passing only reached me tonight, the evening of the 20th. Phyllis wasn't just one of my highschool friends mom or one of my bosses at the Lamplighter. She was a friend who always had the time to be interested in what was happening in my life. I very much appreciated talking with her and catching up on what Her family was doing too. Her

Rollie & Phyllis, I will always look back on working at the Lamplighter restaurant, with good memories. I worked some with Doug, but mostly with Julie. I felt we were pretty close friends. 1980 is when I moved to Iowa. Rollie, Julie, Doug, & Phil, Read the book Heaven is for real. (Colten Burpo) Then you can know Phyllis is watching you, and praying for you when you have a rough day. She's not having pain anymore, rejoice with her.

I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to you Rollie, Julie, Doug, and Phil (and your families) for your loss. Phyllis (or Frantic Phyllis as we affectionately called her as kids) was really a special part of my childhood. The Bechlers were like a second family to me and Phyllis was a "rock" in the way she poured out unconditional love, support, and loyalty to ALL her children. I can recall many spirited discussions which occurred within the small confines

Rollie - what fun memories we have from our "working" together, your rehab of "Uncle Noah's" house on James Street, that truck with almost no headlights. And through it all, Phyllis had that wonderful smile on her face. I cherish the memories of her sense of humor and her having always treated me with utmost respect, even if I may not always have deserved it.

I bet, too, Phyllis quietly knew which of (y)our stories were true and otherwise.

Sincere best regards to you, Doug, Phil, and Julie.
