Esther (Ittner) Baur passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born to Frieda (Koch) and Henry Ittner in Beaver Township, Bay County, Michigan on July 27, 1920. She graduated from Bay City High School in 1938.
She was married to George W. Baur on June 6, 1942 in Beaver Township, Bay County, Michigan at Zion Lutheran Church and lived all her married life in McKinley Township, Huron County, working beside George on their farm as well as being a homemaker for her family. They were married 69 years.
Esther was a member of the McKinley Homemakers Extension Club, Mud Creek Farm Bureau group, and Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Hayes UMC, serving many years as treasurer. She also was a member of Hayes UMW and served on the Memorial Committee.
Esther enjoyed working on large picture puzzles, word puzzles, and fishing on the pontoon in Wild Fowl Bay and Drummond Island. She had many friends and neighbors at home and at Las Olas Beach Club, Satellite Beach, Florida.
Surviving are three sons, Tom (Jeanne) of Ault, Colorado, Randy (Lorna) of Bay Port, and Bill (Elaine) of Flushing; a daughter, Patricia (Robert) Lum of Flint; grandchildren, Cheryl (Alex), Leanne (Michelino), Andrew (Haley), and Matthew (Vanessa); step-grandchildren, Darrin (Kara) and David (Robin); great-grandchildren, Sydney, William, Lydia, Luke, Owen, Ava, and Massimo; step-great-grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew; three sisters, Doris Buechler, Frances Washe, and Gwendolyn (Herb) Bach; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Nona Gordon.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon, with Rev. Bruce Nowacek officiating. Burial will take place at the Caseville Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Hayes United Methodist Church building fund, Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary or the charity of the donor's choice.

Tuesday, January 31 2:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 1 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
